Although Gaffigan is a Catholic and considered a Christian, at least by his Catholic priest in New York City, where he lives, he did not seem to know why hospitals are named after Mr. Sinai or for Jesus’ apostles.
Instead, he made fun of the names during his "Noble Ape" standup special:
“My wife had the surgery at a hospital named Mt. Sinai. I’ve noticed that a lot of hospitals are either named after (Christian) saints or ancient places in Israel, which is not that reassuring, when you think about it. It’s like, ‘Hi, welcome to our hospital, we’re all about science, which is why our building is named after the place where God talked to Moses as a burning bush. Over hear’s our Casper the Ghost wing, next to our astrology center. Do you like UFOs? We love those. We’re all about science.”
Pres. Trump chastizes Iran and Venezuela, condemns promoters of illegal immigration during UN speech
Pres. Donald Trump blasted Iranian and Venezuelan leaders during a 40-minute speech at the United Nations General Assembly Thursday in New York City. While Iranian leaders sat stone faced, a young Venezuelan representative attempted to look busy and distracted while holding a book. China was also in the president's crosshairs, as he recounted a history of their taking advantage of the World Trade Organization and American businesses. He accused China of stealing technology for making computer chips from Micron, then shutting out Micron from selling semiconductors there.
Tim Keller, pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, attempts to bring some impartiality to the creationism/evolution debate with his five-part address at Biologos of 2009. But while he shows sensitivity to those who believe in evolution and the Bible, he also muddles the issue.
