Rep. Tom Cole: House of Representatives, Pres. Trump, the American people deserve better than a flawed impeachment process
During debate on the articles of impeachment, Rep. Tom Cole (Oklahoma) explains why the impeachment process as conducted by the Democrat majority is flawed and is a disservice to House of Representatives and the American people.
"Thank you Madam Speaker. Madam Speaker, today is a very sad day for all of us - for me personally, for the Rules Committee, (for) the entire House of Representatives, and most importantly for the American people.
For the second time in my life, the House of Representatives will be voting to impeach a president of the United States. But unlike in 1998, the decision to have this vote is not the result of a bipartisan process nor an open or fair process.
Rep. Devin Nunes launched yet another blistering attack on the integrity of the latest Democrat led investigation into what by all accounts turns out to be a completely legal conversation between Pres. Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Initial reports claimed there was a quid pro quo between Trump and Zelensky. Although that proved to be false, it did not stop Democrats from claiming the conversation violated some kind of law, o was in some way corrupt.
Rep Devin Nunes ridiculed House Democrats at the House Intelligence Committee hearing, the afternoon of July 25 wondering out loud if they will ever find the fictitious Loch Ness monster as they continue their political theater. It was a wonderful sight to behold. The loquacious Rep. Adam Schiff and all of his acolytes, the righteous Democrat, being forced to listen to a public takedown, a verbal lashing.
If they were gasping for air before Nunes started his address, they were in need of a defibrillator after he finished. The best part is that they could not respond to his accusations. They were focused on tricking Robert Mueller into quoting damning evidence from his own report. The plan backfired however, because Mueller failed to perform the task ascribed to him. He was missing in action.
