San Francisco woman to be named TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) Queen for 2019; award to be given by Rep. Maxine Waters
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
PALO ALTO - The woman who publicly berated an elderly Jewish man wearing a Make America Great Again hat has been named the Queen of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) for 2019. Rebecca Parker Mankey will be given the award and crowned by Rep. Maxine Waters, who encouraged liberals and leftists, or whoever, to confront and berate conservatives like the man wearing the MAGA hat.
Waters will travel to Mankey’s home town, Palo Alto, to crown her queen, whenever she returns from hiding in Lake County. Mankey sparked a national uproar after she berated a 74-year-old man who was wearing a traditional red and white Make America Great Again hat at a San Francisco-area (Palo Alto) Starbucks in April.
She was initially reported missing from her home in Palo Alto, but the Lake County Sheriff’s Office reported she is still (hiding out) in Aberdeen Wash. Investigators discovered her whereabouts from cell phone activity that ended in Aberdeen.
She received “negative” attention from the coffee shop incident.
Sgt. Aaron Clark of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office reported that Mankey is “voluntarily” missing. Mankey’s friend, Melissa Demyan, wrote in a Friday Facebook post that she had not heard from Mankey in over 24 hours.
Rather than show remorse for yelling at the elderly Jewish man, Mankey doubled down on her tirade, and continued her threats online:
“He will never forget me and will think seriously about wearing that hat in my town ever again," she wrote in a Facebook post after the incident, according to the paper. "If you see him in this hat, please confront him. You do not want to be the person who didn't speak up as we slipped into fascism."
It’s a pattern (disease) that has taken hold of leftists, liberals and others who claim the resist mantle: they think that people who agree with Pres. Trump’s policies or who support the president don’t have the right to express that support in public.
The man, who was identified as Victor, told local media outlets that Mankey called him a racist and other names.
“This woman came over and not only started screaming at me, she turned to the Starbucks audience and said, ‘Hey, everybody come here! This guy's a racist! This guy hates brown people!’” he said.
The trend, to violate the rights of others in public, was encouraged by Rep. Waters at a rally in Los Angeles.
Mankey's ended up losing her job at Gryphon Stringed Instruments, a company that sells, rents and repairs used and vintage musical instruments.
She also received numerous threats online and stepped down from her role as co-chair of the Bayshore Progressive Democrats.
Rather than apologize for Mankey’s behavior, a post on the Bayshore Progressive Democrats Facebook page supports her actions:
“Parker felt strongly that she wanted to use her privilege as a white woman to stand up for those who are living in fear because of the hateful atmosphere fostered by Trump,” the club wrote on its Facebook page.
